Porzellangemälde "Der Gasthofstall" nach Philips Wouwerman Rechteckige Platte. Lebendig geschildertes Stallinterieur mit der Ankunft einer Jagdgesellschaft in einer Scheune. Im Zentrum stehender, umsorgter Schimmel. Im Hintergrund weitere, im Stall untergebrachte Pferde und ein Bauernpaar bei der Unterbringung des Strohs. Am rechten Bildrand zwei mit einer Ziege spielende Kinder neben ihrer stillenden Mutter. Im offenen Torbogen mit Blick in das Dorf ein Reiter im Gespräch sowie eine pickende Hühnerschaar. Fein lasierende polychrome Malerei, wohl von Emil Ens. Nach einem 1649 entstandenen Ölgemälde von Philips Wouwerman, welches sich heute in der Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden befindet (Gal.-Nr. 1424). Rücks. sign. "Pferde Stall P. Wouwerman g. v. E. Ens 1855". Vergoldeter Holzrahmen. Geprägte KPM-Zeptermarke. Plattenmaß 33,5 cm x 28 cm. Rahmen 45 cm x 40,5 cm.
Die Porzellanmaler Gebrüder Ens aus Lauscha, zu den auch Emil gehörte, nahmen 1854 mit 6 Porzellangemälden an der "Allgemeinen deutschen Industrie-Ausstellung" in München teil und wurden mit einer Ehrenmünze ausgezeichnet.
