(Praesentation eines scharfen Rencontre. Reiter-Schlacht, Schwertgefecht). Diorama in 5 altkolorierten Kupfertafeln von M(artin) Engelbrecht nach J(ohann) Wachsmuht. Augsburg, Engelbrecht um 1750. Ca. 17 x 20,5 cm.
Milano, Perspektivtheater - Dioramen S. 30 u. 51 (mit Farbabb.). Vgl. Buijnsters, Papertoys S. 346 ("Zwaardgevecht" in kl. Format 9 x 14 cm.). - Detailreiche Darstellung einer Reiter-Schlacht, laut Nummerierung das dreizehnte, der bei Engelbrecht erschienenen Kupferstichdioramen. Der Satz besteht aus fünf Blättern, die Kulissen tragen die Nummern 114-118. - "Bei den Perspektivtheater-Dioramen handelt es sich um Gruppen von Kupferstichen, die entsprechend ausgeschnitten und in einen Guckkasten montiert eine Kulisse zur Darstellung vielfältiger Sujets bilden. Die Kupferstiche der Perspektivtheater-Dioramen, welche eine verbreitete Form der Unterhaltung im Europa des 18. Jahrhunderts waren, können als weitverbreitete, dekorative Gebrauchsgraphik kategorisiert werden" (A. Milano). - Alt auf Karton aufgezogen u. im oberen u. unteren Rand teils knapp beschnitten (kein Textverlust), sehr gut erhalten. - Diorama in 5 contemporary coloured copper plates by M.Engelbrecht after J.Wachsmuht.
