Öl auf Leinwand, links in roter Farbe vom Künstler signiert und datiert "C. Bewer 1855". General der kaiserlich-österreichischen Armee als Halbfigur in weißem zweireihigen Uniformrock mit scharlachroter Egalisierungsfarbe, am Kragen drei Silbersterne auf goldener Borte, angelegter Ordensschmuck, übergeworfener grauer Mantel mit roten Aufschlägen. Im alten, stuckierten und vergoldeten Rahmen (kleine Fehlstellen). Teilweise leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Bildmaße 79 x 63 cm, Rahmenmaße 104 x 88 cm. Sehr repräsentativ, durch Restaurierung gut zu verbessern.
Clemens Bewer (1820 - 1884) war ein deutscher Maler der Romantik. Er wirkte an der Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie, die ihn 1869 zum Professor ernannte.

Oil on canvas, signed and dated "C. Bewer 1855" in red on the left. Half-length portrait of a general of the Imperial Austrian army wearing a white double-breasted tunic with red piping, the collar with three silver stars on gold bullion braid, medal bar, grey greatcoat with red gorget patches draped over the shoulders. In old stuccoed and gilt frame (small losses). Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Dimensions of picture 79 x 63 cm, framed 104 x 88 cm. Very representative, can be improved through restoration.
Clemens Bewer (1820 - 1884) was a German Romanticist painter. He taught at the Düsseldorf art academy, where he was appointed to professor in 1869.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
