Prof. Edmund Kanoldt attributed to "Mulinetti in Recco" rocky, with deciduous trees covered the hillside in a Mediterranean light, watercolor, lower right titled and dated "Mulinetti in Recco February 1888", on the back side of a frame write-up "Prof. Kanoldt born. 13. III., in 1845, stamped 28.7.1904 in Mannheim, Germany, active in Karlsruhe“, minimal signs of age, under passe-partout behind glass framed, passe-partout cutout approx: 34.5 x 45 cm. Artist info: dt. Painter (1845 Großrudestedt in Weimar until 1904 Bad Nauheim, Germany), apprenticeship as a book dealer, a pupil of Friedrich Preller in Weimar, 1869-72 period of study in Rome, in 1874, re-study stay in Italy, 1876-83 studies at the Academy in Karlsruhe, then in Karlsruhe, together with Philip Grot Johann Illustration of Eichendorffs "From the life of a good-for-nothing", appointment to the Professor, source: Thieme-Becker, Mülfahrth "Small lexicon of the Karlsruhe painter," and Wikipedia.
