First edition of this treatise dedicated to cosmetics: "Divided into four books, the text was conceived as a compendium of beauty advice based on notions of medicine and cosmetics. In particular, the first book deals with body defects and remedies aimed at attenuating them; the second and third, for the beauty and care of the hair and face; the fourth, for the care of the throat, neck, chest, hands and the rest of the body "(Treccani).
