Zwei leicht gewölbte, aufwendig und kunstvoll gearbeitete, runde Teile aus Silber mit halbplastisch getriebenem floralen Dekor auf punziertem Hintergrund. Die volutenförmigen Ränder nach innen gebogen. Rückseitig je zwei Riemenführungen. Einige alte Reparaturstellen, sonst in ausgezeichneter Erhaltung. Keine Punzen. Durchmesser 12 cm. Der zentrale Bestandteil einer besonders prächtigen osmanisch-balkanischen Frauentracht.

A magnificent Ottoman silver belt buckle, late 18th century
Two slightly vaulted and round pieces in silver, elaborately and artfully crafted with half-plastically embossed floral decoration on a punched background. The volute-shaped borders are bent inwards. Two strap loops on each side. Several old repairs, otherwise in excellent condition. No hallmarks. Diameter 12 cm. The key component of a particularly sumptuous Ottoman-Balkan female costume.
