Arabic manuscript on burnished cream paper, 296ff., each folio with 12ll. of alternating black and gold muhaqqaq, chapter headings and some notation in red ink, text within gold and polychrome rules, gold and blue marginal medallions, sura headings in red thuluth in illuminated cartouches, opening bifolio with dense gold and polychrome illumination framing 6ll. of text, in original tooled and stamped gilt bindings with remains of decoupé medallions and spandrels and calligraphic frame, in fragile condition
