Kurzbiografie des Malers Emil Rau (1858, Dresden - 1937, München): Ein deutscher Maler, der mit seiner bayrisch geprägten Genremalerei äußerst erfolgreich war. Seine Werke stellen volkstümliche Alltagsszenen dar, veranschaulichen dabei Sitten und Gebräuche besonders. Der Künstler war hauptsächlich in München tätig.
