Hoher Lederkorpus mit Messingbeschlägen, sehr gut erhaltene Originallackierung, alte schwarze Wollraupe ohne Mottenschäden, Futter aus Schafnappaleder (vereinzelt minimale Löcher und Risse), im Vorderschirm die alte Trägersignatur, im Hinterschirm der Rautenschildstempel. Messingemblem aus der Tragezeit von König Maximilian II. Flache Schuppenketten an Löwenköpfen mit "Schlüssellochhalterung", Zugriemen an Kette ergänzt. Weiß-blau lackierte Messingkokarde. Trage- und Altersspuren.
Früher, seltener Helm in sehr schöner Originalerhaltung.

Tall leather skull with brass fittings, excellently preserved original lacquer finish, old black wool chenille without moth damages, lining of sheep nappa leather (some places with minimal holes and cracks), the front peak with old owner's signature, the underside of the neck guard stamped with a lozenge mark. Brass front plate as used during the reign of King Maximilian II. Flat chin-chain on lion head bosses with "keyhole mounting", the leather chain strap replaced. White-blue lacquered brass cockade. Signs of wear and age.
Early, rare helmet in excellent original condition.
