Im Deckel der Tastatur eingelegte Herstellerbezeichnung "Patent Érard London". Tastatur mit Auflagen aus Elfenbein-Imitat. Die Baunummer "7962" entspricht dem Londoner Fertigungsjahr 1862. Dabei der zugehörige Klavierhocker mit seitlichen Lyramotiven und samtbezogener Sitzfläche. Verstimmt, keine Garantie für Stimmhaltigkeit. Maße des Flügels 95 x 138 x 214 cm.
Die Klaviermanufaktur Sebastien Érard wurde bereits 1770 in Paris gegründet. 1814 eröffnete Sebastiens Neffe Jean Baptiste Pierre Érard eine Außenstelle in London. Die Firma Érard avancierte schnell zu einer der weltweit führenden Klaviermanufakturen, deren Instrumente von zahlreichen berühmten Musikern und Komponisten des 19. Jhdts. gespielt wurden. So waren z.B. Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Verdi und Liszt nachweisliche Besitzer von Érard-Flügeln.

Exceptionally intricate grand piano, the body veneered in exquisite walnut burl wood. Lavish decorative tendrils, delicately inlaid with various fruit woods, precious woods and polished bone. The manufacturer's mark "Patent Érard London" inlaid in the lid of the keyboard. Keyboard with imitation ivory appliqués. The serial number "7962" corresponds to the London year of manufacture 1862. Comes with the associated piano stool with lyre motifs on the side and velvet-covered seat. Out of tune, its tuning stability not guaranteed. Dimensions of the piano 95 x 138 x 214 cm.

The piano manufactory Sébastien Érard was founded in Paris in 1770. In 1814, Sébastien's nephew Jean Baptiste Pierre Érard opened a branch in London. Érard soon emerged as one of the world's leading piano manufacturers, whose instruments were played by innumerable famous 19th century musicians and composers. Among others, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Verdi and Liszt are known to have owned Érard grand pianos.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
