Brünierter, gezogener Oktagonlauf im Kaliber 14,5 mm, Seele rau, auf der Oberseite eingeschobenes Korn und geschnittene Kimme, auf dem Schwanzschraubenblatt ein Diopter. Graviertes und leicht geschnittenes Radschloss (eine Schlossschraube fehlt) mit innen liegendem Rad, Stecherabzug (defekt) und gefederter Sicherungsknopf rechts im Vorderschaft. Vollschaft mit reichen, gravierten Beineinlagen mit Darstellungen von Wildtieren. Links am Kolben außerordentlich feine Darstellung einer Wildschweinjagd, rechts Wappen unter einem Stechhelm. Gravierte Messinggarnitur. Hölzerner Ladestock mit Beindopper. Länge 117 cm.
A South German wheellock rifle with rich bone inlays, 18th century
Burnished, rifled octagonal barrel in 14.5 mm calibre, rough bore, the upper side with dovetailed front sight and cut rear sight, the tang with diopter sight. Engraved and slightly cut wheellock (one lock screw missing) with internal wheel, set trigger (defective) and spring-loaded safety button on the right of the forestock. Full stock with rich, engraved bone inlays depicting wild animals. On the left of the butt exquisitely fine depiction of a boar hunt, on the right a coat-of-arms underneath a jousting helmet. Engraved brass furniture. Wooden ramrod with bone tip. Length 117 cm.
