Kasten aus Weichholz mit teils ebonisiertem Nussbaumfurnier und fein gravierten und geschwärzten Einlagen aus Bein. Gestufte Sockelzone, das vorspringende Mittelteil mit nach vorne zu öffnender Klappe, darin ausklappbare Buchauflage. In der Rahmung des Innenfachs mehrere verborgene Geheimschubladen. Seitlich je fünf Schübe, davon der unterste jeweils abschließbar. Gestufter Aufsatz mit zentralem Deckelfach. Auf späterem Stand des 19. Jhdts. im Barockstil. Maße des Kastens 58 x 78 x 47 cm, Gesamthöhe 142 cm.
The cabinet of softwood with partially ebonised walnut veneer and finely engraved and blackened bone inlays. Tiered base section, the protruding centre with hinged front and folding book rest on the inside. In the frame of the inner compartment several hidden drawers. Five compartments on either side, the lowest ones lockable. Tiered top with central lid compartment. On a later Baroque-style stand from the 19th century. Box dimensions 58 x 78 x 47 cm, overall height 142 cm.
