Schwerer Stahlbogen, auf der rechten Innenseite eine geschlagene kreisförmige Marke mit Strahlenkranz, rechts gestempelt das Monogramm "HF". Originaler, fester Einbund und neu ergänzte Hanfsehne. Gebauchte Säule aus feinmaserigem rotbraunen Holz mit reich gravierten Beineinlagen. Originale, im Faden laufende Nuss aus Geweih mit eisernem Einbau. Mehrachsiges Schloss, Fadenstecher mit einklappbarem Abzugszüngel, eiserner Abzugsbügel, Windenknebel. An der Oberseite der Säule erscheinen zwischen Voluten und Tierdarstellungen gravierte Szenen mit den Taten des Herkules, hinter der Nuss alt eingestochen der Name "IACOB". An den hellen Seitenbändern präsentieren sich antike Helden zwischen springenden Füchsen, Hunden, Hase und liegendem Reh. Auf dem Wangenanschlag eine antike Szene mit erschossenem König und drei Bogenschützen. An der beinernen Kolbenkappe die auf einer Kugel schwebende Fortuna. Auf der Unterseite die Heilige Agnes mit Lamm und die Heilige Barbara mit Stab und Kelch, an den unteren Seitenbändern gravierte Voluten und kunstvoll verschlungene Fabelwesen. Daumenanschlag in Form eines eisernen Stegs an der Oberseite. Bolzenhalter und Visier fehlen. Vereinzelt kleine Fehlstellen, Risse, Altreparaturen, Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Bogenweite 60 cm, Gesamtlänge 64 cm.
Seltene, äußerst repräsentative Armbrust der Spätrenaissance, wahrscheinlich eine Nürnberger Arbeit.

Heavy steel prod, a circular mark with a sun burst struck on the inside on the right, the monogram "HF" stamped on the right. Original, fixed anchors, the hemp bowstring a modern replacement. The bellied tiller in finely grained, reddish-brown wood with lavishly engraved bone inlays. The original nut made of antler with an iron mount, secured with thread. Multi-axle lock, hair set trigger with folding trigger shoe, iron trigger guard and cranequin lug. The top of the tiller engraved with scenes of the Labours of Hercules amidst volutes and depictions of animals, an old inscription with the name "IACOB" behind the nut. The light-coloured side bands featuring antique heroes interspersed with leaping foxes, hounds, a hare and reclining deer. An antique scene with a dead king, killed by a shot, and three archers on the cheek rest. Fortuna floating above a globe on the bone butt cap. St Agnes holding a lamb and St Barbara with staff and chalice on the underside, engraved volutes and elaborately intertwined mythical creatures on the lower side bands. The thumb rest in the shape of an iron crosspiece on the top. The bolt channel and back sight have been lost. Occasional minor flaws, cracks, old repairs, signs of age and handling. Width of the bow 60 cm, total length 64 cm.
Rare, exceptionally distinguished late Renaissance crossbow. Probably produced in Nuremberg.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
