Reliefintarsie aus Eger mit Lot und seinen Töchtern. Unterschiedliche Hölzer, geschnitzt, teilw. gefasst und vergoldet. Szenische Darstellung der biblischen Geschichte aus dem Alten Testament (Gen. 19,1-38). Auf der rechten Seite der mit seinen Töchtern ins Gebirge geflüchtete, in einer Höhle lebende Lot. An einem festlich gedeckten Tisch machen die leicht bekleideten Töchter ihren Vater trunken, um mit ihm zu schlafen und schwanger zu werden. Hierdurch wird Lot zugleich Vater und Großvater der beiden aus dieser Verbindung entstandenen Söhne Moab und Ben-Ammi, aus denen die Völker der Moabiter und Ammoniter entstehen. Im Hintergrund die brennenden Städte Sodom und Gomorra sowie die zur Salzsäule erstarrte Frau Lots. Eine solche künstlerisch meisterhafte kostbare Tafel wurde entweder als einzelne Bildplatte konzipiert oder in ein Möbel eingelassen. Die schon durch ihre aufwendige Herstellung kostbaren Egerer Reliefintarsien hatten den Rang von Kunstkammerstücken, gingen an Landesherren, vermögende Adelige, hohe Geistliche oder betuchte Bürger, dienten aber auch als diplomatische Geschenke des Magistrats von Eger. Provenienz: wohl aus der bedeutenden Sammlung des Ministerialrats Hugo von Kilényi.
