Feinporiger weißer Marmor mit dunkler Alterspatina. Runde, leicht konische Säule, die untere Hälfte mit erhaben gearbeiteten Ranken- und Vasenmotiven. Die Details der Blätter und Blüten teils gebohrt. Darüber ein Band mit feinem Weinlaubfries. Die obere Hälfte fein kanneliert, mit flachem Echinus. Stellenweise leicht bestoßen. Höhe 143 cm.
Provenienz: Aus alter Pariser Privatsammlung.
A carved Italian Renaissance marble pillar, 16th century
Finely pored white marble with dark age patina. Round, slightly conical pillar, the lower half decorated with raised scrolling leaves and vases. The details of the leaves and blossoms partially drilled. Surmounted by a frieze of vine leaves. The upper half finely fluted, with flat echinus. Partially slightly bumped. Height 143 cm.
