In 1995, Oil/canvas, Installation of metal frame, rollers, wire rope & mesh, 183 x 122 cm, o. middle, titled on the frame plaque monogram & dated ON XCV. - In an old-masterly style Mihaylovich paints an under-sighted figure of a ceiling fresco, but unfinished, and distanced by the frame and grid from the viewer. How close we get to the factory? Or must it be in front of us and protected us? It touches us, or is it an object that is only preserved due to its seemingly venerable age? Alexander Mihaylovich. New York 1958
American painter, graphic artist and object artist. For the scenic self-taught, his work in the antique Department of the J. Paul Getty Museum proved to be a happy coincidence. Ancient figures to insert in his works in an environment of Industrial. His pictures were in the British Museum in London, Roman to see in the Germanic Museum in Cologne and the Getty Center in Los Angeles. The artist lives & works in Los Angeles.
