The Johann Elias Ridingers Create, since 1759 Director of the Augsburg Academy, includes a large number of copper engravings, etchings and mezzo-ink drawings, but also paintings. His main subjects are horses, dogs and hunting depictions. Also, the Hunting game, as such, forms a large complex of themes in the oeuvre of the artist. The history of the Ridingers work is eminent. In Europe, his depictions of animals served as the template not only for other artists, including the painting on porcelain in the Meissen and Vienna, as well as the contemporary glass and tile painting use Ridingers role models.
