Blaugrundige Glasschale mit flachem Standboden, die zunächst kaum merklich und dann im Viertelkreisbogen nach oben biegt. Außen beginnend vom Rand des Standbodens aus zunächst mit flachen, dann mit zunehmend steiler Wandung mit kräftigen, sternförmig angeordneten Rippen versehen. Die senkrechte Randzone glatt. Glas der Schale zusammengesetzt aus vielen Flecken schwarz-weißer Spiralen, die durch ein blaugrundiges Netz bei fließenden Farbübergängen getrennt sind. Typisches Glaserzeugnis aus der Zeit der julisch-claudischen Dynastie. Aus großen Scherben zusammengesetzt mit geringfügigen Ergänzungen am Rand (gut 95 % der Originalsubstanz vorhanden). Durchmesser 11,3 cm. Höhe 3 cm.
Provenienz: Niederbayerische Privatsammlung, übernommen aus dem Besitz des Vaters.
The blue glass bowl with a flat base, curving upwards almost imperceptibly at first but then in a quarter circle arc. Beginning from the edge of the base, the external sides initially shallow, then increasingly steep with pronounced ribs, arranged in the shape of a star. Smooth, vertical rim. The glass of the bowl composed of numerous speckles with black and white spirals, separated by a grid with a blue background and smooth colour gradations. Typical glass object dating from the Julio-Claudian Dynasty. Composed of large fragments fused together with minor additions at the edge (at least 95% of the original material is still preserved). Diameter 11.3 cm. Height 3 cm.
Provenance: From a private collection in Lower Bavaria, inherited from the consignor's father.
