Aquarell. 36,5 x 49 cm. R. u. sign. Nesch, unter Passepartout und Glas gerahmt, ungeöffnet. - Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass des Künstlers; zuletzt Privatsammlung Schweden. - Deutsch-norwegischer Maler und Graphiker. N. studierte nach einer Ausbildung als Dekorationsmaler 1909-11 an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Stuttgart, anschließend bis 1914 an der Akademie Dresden, bevor er eingezogen wurde. Schon früh hatte N. gute Kontakte nach Hamburg, wo er sich 1929 dauerhaft niederließ und ab 1931 mit der Sezession ausstellte. Von den Nationalsozialisten wegen seiner Kunst stark angefeindet emigierte er bereits 1933 nach Norwegen. Er mußte lange auf Anerkennung warten, 1958 aber erhielt er den Lichtwark-Preis, 1962 den Preis der Biennale in Venedig. Seine Ausbildung in graphischen Techniken erhielt er von E. L. Kirchner. N. war ein ungewöhnlich experimentierfreudiger Künstler, der in seinen Drucken und Gemälden mit vielfältigen Techniken und Materialien arbeitete. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
