"Zigeneuer street in Jimena". Original title
With a wide, soft-heavy application and empty Erasure Duktus in pastel tone color Andalusian countryside, described with picturesque Ensemble of white houses. Gudden painted as a pioneer of Modernism and is inspired by his travels since the beginning of the 20th century. Century, primarily in southern motifs in a powerful, unakademischer free light painting where the light is a determining factor. From 1889 he exhibited his paintings at the Munich glass Palace. Oil/canvas; L. u. signed; On frame plaque is titled "Andalusia". Verso, various exhibition and inventory labels to the Munich annual exhibition in the glass Palace, Frankfurt-Cronberger of artists, Königl. Bayer. State painting collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum of the Univ. Of Würzburg, Germany.; 84 cm x 105 cm. Original A Frame.
Acquired by the Kgl. Bavarian state paintings collection in 1903 at the Munich annual exhibition in the glass Palace (cat. No 392) by the artist.
In the inventory of the New Pinakothek/Bayer. State listed collections of paintings currently under the no. 8272 than "Gypsy road in Andalusia".
/V/Oil-on-canvas. Signed. Several exhibition and collection labels on the reverse. Purchased by the Bavarian State Gallery from the artist at an exhibition in 1903.
