Anf. 20. Jh. Bronze, dunkel patiniert, Kugel gold gefasst. Figur: H. 84 cm, moderne Steinplinthe: H. 6 cm. Ohne Signatur und Gießerstempel. Dargestellt ist ein athletischer Jüngling, der in dynamischer Haltung, mit zur Seite gewandtem Kopf zum Wurf der goldenen Kugel ansetzt - Literatur: Die Bronze ist abgebildet in: Brauchitsch, Boris von. Enthüllungen. Berlin, 2019, S. 59 - Deutscher Bildhauer, Studium an den Akademien in Hanau, Paris und Brüssel, 1903 zog er in ein eigenes Atelier in Grunewald, Berlin. Ab 1911 nahm er an der Großen Berliner Kunstausst. Teil, von 1939-1943 beteiligte er sich an den Großen Deutschen Kunstausst. in München. Er schuf vor allem Aktfiguren, Tänzerinnen und Tiere, große Marmorfiguren und Grabmäler, aber auch antike Aktmotive als Kleinbronzen. Anfangs noch am Jugendstil orientiert, wandte er sich bald immer stärker dem Naturalismus zu. Lit.: Thieme/Becker
