Rudolf Kanzler, in Wasserburg am Inn geborener Vermessungsingenieur, gehörte von 1905 bis 1918 der 2. Kammer des bayrischen Landtags als Zentrums-Mitglied an und leitete von 1912 - 1919 das Rosenheimer Vermessungsamt, nahm Führungspositionen beim Grenzschutz Süd und beim Freikorps Chiemgau an, gründete 1920 die Organisation Kanzler (Orka), wurde Stellverteter der "Orgesch", engagierte sich im BHKB für die Wiedereinführung der Monarchie in Bayern und wurde bei der Neugründung des BHKB 1949 provisorischer Präsident, wurde jedoch von den Wittelsbachern abgelehnt. 1936 wurde er vom 1. Senat des Volksgerichtshofes von der Anklage des Hochverrats freigesprochen, da es keine Anhaltspunkte für eine Unterstützung der "Schwarzen Front" (von Otto Strasser gegründeter antiparlamentarischer Kampfbund) gab.
Einmaliges Album von allerhöchster historischer Bedeutung für die Geschichte Bayerns unmittelbar nach dem 1. Weltkrieg.

Brown leather binding, gilt-edged pages. The album with countless dedications and identity cards, maps, documents, newspaper articles etc., some pasted in, some loose. Also includes two telegrams from the Munich Soviet Republic (tr.) ("9/4 1919: according to a radio message from nauen, epp has been ordered to bamberg with his freikorps. [.] then it is crucial for all bavarian soldiers to rise up as one man against this commander of reaction [.]."). Handwritten dedication dated 1920: Gustav von Kahrs, Ludendorff, Major Josef Bischoff (Iron Division), Korv. Kpt. Hermann Ehrhardt (Marine-Brigade Ehrhardt), Waldemar Pabst (had Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg assassinated), Oberst Franz Epp, Georg Escherich (Organisation Escherich), Ernst Pöhner (chief of Munich police). 1921: Adam Hefter (Bischoff), Feldmarschalllt. Ludwig Hülgerth and so on.

Königsbund (Bavarian Nationalist and Royalist League), 1919-25, the Deutschvölkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund (German Nationalist Protection and Defiance Federation 1920, identity card of the station commander's office Rosenheim (tr.) ("Kanzler from Rosenheim, authorised representative of the Hoffmann government, is entitled to move freely") 1919, travel document 1919, leader's ID of the Bavarian Citizens' Defence with photo and Kanzler's original signature, permit to enter Munich Police Station 1920 with original signature of Pöhner, identity card as deputy head of the Bavarian Citizens' Defence 1920 with original signature of Dr. von Kahr, provisional leader's ID of "Orgesch" 1920 with original signature of Escherich, Bavarian firearms licence 1921 with original signature and photo of Kanzler and much more. Also includes articles from the post-war period and on the death of Kanzler.
Rudolf Kanzler, born in Wasserburg am Inn, a surveyor by profession, was a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Bavarian Landtag from 1905 to 1918 and directed the Rosenheim land surveying office from 1912 to 1919, held senior positions in the South border control and Freikorps Chiemgau, founded the Organisation Kanzler (Orka) in 1920, represented the "Orgesch", was active in the BHKB for the re-introduction of the monarchy in Bavaria and was appointed provisional president when the BHKB was re-established in 1949, but subsequently rejected by the Wittelsbacher family. In 1936, he was acquitted of the charge of treason by the 1st Senate of the Volksgerichtshof as there was no evidence that he supported the "Black Front" (an anti-parliamentarian combat group founded by Otto Strasser).
