Deckel aus Leder mit scharlachrotem Tuchbezug, reiche vergoldete Silberstickerei mit Pailletten, in der Mitte die bekrönte Herrscherchiffre "F JI", Rand von Kittschnur eingefasst, komplett mit Taschenteil und Gehänge aus tressenbesetzten Lederriemen und Löwenkopfschließen aus Buntmetall, Ringe und Schnallen aus Buntmetall. Metallstickerei gedunkelt, Leder berieben, partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Sehr seltene, hochrangige Säbeltasche, vollständig und gut erhalten.

A sabretache for officers of the royal-imperial hussars, 1849-64
Leather flap with scarlet cloth cover, profuse gilt silver embroidery with sequins, in the centre the crowned cipher "F JI", the edge trimmed with raised gold braid, complete with body and hanger composed of leather straps applied with bullion braid. The lion head clasps, rings, and buckles of non-ferrous metal. Metal embroidery darkened, leather rubbed, partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Very rare sabretache for high-ranking officers, complete and in good condition.
