A SET OF TEN ORNITOLOGICAL PATTERN DINNER PLATES AFTER THE SEVRES SERVICE OF SOUTH AMERICAN BIRDS - French, probably ca. 1900 - Each plate painted with an exotic bird on a gold garland with French inscription of each bird's name. Gold and black foliage tooled rims. Apokryph Sèvres marks on bottom. 1 minute chip. - Old South German private collection. The Sèvres service Oiseaux de L'Amérique du Sud was created around 1819/20, the bird paintings are by the talented porcelain painter Madame Knip, née Pauline de Courcelles (1781-1851). The service, including 60 plates and other items, was delivered to Her Royal Highness Duchesse d'Angoulème later Dauphine de France in 1826. Lit. Marcelle Brunet/Marvin C. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
