Der aufrechte Hammerflügel von John Broadwood & Sons wurde laut der Seriennummer 8876 Anfang des Jahres 1852 gefertigt. Das Instrument ist in Palisander furniert und kunstvoll verziert. Die beiden Konsolen wurden in Form von Löwentatzen gearbeitet. Die beiden Pedale betätigen die Dämpfungsaufhebung und Verschiebung. Die Ornamentik im mit Stoff bespannten Deckrahmen ist nicht beschädigt. Die Mechanik ist aktuell zerlegt.
Die Klaviatur (CC-g4) hat ein Stichmaß von 49,0cm. Das mit befilzten Hämmerchen ausgestattete Instrument besitzt einen geteilten Steg (CC-F#, G-g4).

The upright fortepiano (Wallclimber) by John Broadwood & Sons was made in early 1852 according to serial number 8876. The instrument is veneered in rosewood and ornately decorated. The two consoles were crafted in the shape of lion paws. The two pedals operate the damper lift and shift. The ornamentation in the cloth-covered top frame is undamaged. The action is currently disassembled.
The keyboard (CC-g4) has a 3-octave-span of 49.0cm. The hammers are covered with felt. The instrument has a split bridge (CC-F#, G-g4).
