Breite zweischneidige Klinge mit rhombischem Querschnitt. Am Ansatz der langen, leicht gekehlten Fehlschärfe die rechteckige Öffnung für den fehlenden Knebel. S-förmig geschwungene Parierstange mit gekehlten Endknäufen. Seitliche Fingerbügel mit fein gekehltem unteren Parierbügel, auf der Gegenseite eine Fingerspange. Hilze mit originaler Belederung über Schnurwicklung. Fein spiralig gekehlter Knauf mit originaler Vernietung. Länge 131 cm.
Schönes Original dieser meist nur als Kopie anzutreffenden jagdlichen Waffe. Ein Exemplar mit identisch aufgebautem Spangengefäß befindet sich in der Sammlung des Kunsthistorischen Museums in Wien. Vgl.: Seitz, Heribert, Blankwaffen I, Abbildung 205.

A southern German hunting sword (boar sword), circa 1530
Broad double-edged blade of flattened diamond section. The base of the long, slightly curved ricasso with rectangular opening for the missing cross bar. S-shaped quillons with fullered finials. On the side finger guard with finely fullered lower guard bar, on the opposite side a finger bar. Grip with original leather cover above wire wrap. Pommel with fine helical grooves and original rivets. Length 131 cm.
Beautiful original hunting weapon of which mostly only copies are available. An object with identical swept hilt can be found in the collection of the Museum of Art History in Vienna. Cf. Heribert Seitz, Blankwaffen I, ill. 205.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
