Schwerer, achtkantiger, leicht konischer Lauf, die verstärkte Mündung mit aufgesetztem Korn. Glatte Seele im Kaliber 22 mm. Seitliches Zündloch mit kleiner Zündmulde. Über der Kammer geschlagene Laufmachermarke. Der Stoßboden mit angeschmiedeter, ca. 11 cm langer, achtkantiger Tülle. Im Übergang zum Schaft aufgenageltes Eisenblech. Originale, kantige Schäftung aus Weichholz mit einem eisernen Laufband. An der Unterseite kräftiger Haken. Länge 160 cm.
Seltene, frühe Feuerwaffe, die noch mit einer von Hand geführten Lunte gezündet wurde.

A heavy South German wall gun for matchlock ignition, circa 1490/1500
Heavy, octagonal, slightly tapered barrel, the reinforced muzzle with applied front sight. Smooth bore in 22 mm calibre. Lateral vent hole with small ignition recess. At the breech struck barrel maker’s mark. An octagonal socket of approx. 11 cm length is forged to the recoil plate. Iron sheet fastened with nails at the transition to the stock. Original, edged softwood stock with iron barrel band. Sturdy hook at the bottom. Length 160 cm.
Rare, early firearm for manual matchlock ignition.
