Breite, zweischneidige Klinge, leicht schartig. Am Ansatz beidseitig schmale Kehlung mit Kupfereinlagen und drei geschlagenen Kreuzmarken. S-förmig geschwungene Parierstange mit Akanthuslaubdekor und terzseitigem Blattmaskaron, die Enden in plastische Löwenköpfe auslaufend. Hilze mit originalem Lederüberzug über Schnurwicklung. Eiserner Knauf in Löwenkopfform. Länge 100 cm.
A South German or Swiss officer's sword with lion head pommel, circa 1600
Broad double-edged blade, slightly jagged. Narrow fuller with copper inlays and three struck cross marks on both sides at the base of the blade. S-shaped quillons with décor of acanthus leaves, a leaf mascaron on the obverse, the ends of the quillons terminating in three-dimensional lion heads. Grip with original leather cover over cord wrap. Iron lion head pommel. Length 100 cm.
