Schlanke, zweischneidige Klinge, linsenförmiger, im oberen Drittel leicht gegrateter Querschnitt. Am Ansatz beidseitig geschlagene Schmiedemarke. Leicht zur Klinge geneigte Parierstange mit geometrischem Dekor. Terzseitig großer Parierring, quartseitig ein Fingerbügel. Originale gestufte Hilze mit Lederbezug über Schnurwicklung. Doppelt konischer achtkantiger Knauf, die Kanten mit gravierten doppelten Zierlinien. Oberflächen mit dunkler Alterspatina, leicht flugrostig. Länge 113 cm.
Schönes frühes Schwert in unberührtem Zustand. Durch Reinigung und Restaurierung gut zu verbessern.
Slender, double-edged blade of lenticular section, the forte of slight diamond section. The shoulder struck on both sides with a smith mark. Slightly down-curved quillons with geometrical pattern. Large guard ring on the obverse, one finger rest on the reverse. Original two-stage grip with leather cover over wire wrap. Double-coned octagonal pommel, the edged engraved with double lines. Surfaces with dark age patina, slightly rusty. Length 113 cm.
Fine early sword in untouched condition. Can be improved by cleaning and restoration.
