SEBASTIANO DEL PIOMBO (ZUGESCHRIEBEN) Circa 1485 Venedig - June 21st, 1547 Rom CHRIST BEARING THE CROSS Oil on canvas. 116 x 93 cm (F. 130 x 108 cm). Verso: On the stretcher two old wax seels (unidentified). Part. min. old restored, old retouching. Frame. The Musée Pacum in Leuven keeps an almost identical variant of the same theme, which is much harder in expression and representation. The work, executed by Michiel van Coxcie, shows a rather hard, nordic influence in the expression of the figures. Sebastiano del Piombo's softly drawn figures, on the other hand, are more influenced by the Italian-Mediterranean. Under no. 207 in 'L'opera completa di Sebastiano del Piombo' a variation of the Christ carrying the cross is found, which is today kept in the National Gallery of Canada, in Ottawa. Eine nahezu identische, im Ausdruck und der Darstellung wesentlich härtere Variante des gleichen Themas bewahrt das Musée Pacum in Leuven auf. Die von Michiel van Coxcie ausgeführte Arbeit zeigt im Ausdruck der Figuren einen eher harten, nordischen Einfluss der Malerei. Hingegen verweisen Sebastiano del Piombos weich gezeichnete Figuren eher auf einen italienisch-südländischen Einfluss. Unter der Nr. 207 im 'L'opera completa di Sebastiano del Piombo' findet sich eine Variante des kreuztragenden Christus wieder, der heute in der National Gallerie von Canada, in Ottawa, aufbewahrt wird. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
