Oil/canvas, 74 x 67 cm, bottom left John signed Holst's. - The white-tailed eagle was used during the I. world war by the Germans as a frigate, as steam ships were able to operate due to the allied Blockade and of the coal in the absence of only in a limited way. Felix Graf von Luckner as a commander mounted with the white-tailed eagle, numerous enemy ships.

Hamburg-based Marine and landscape painter, pupil of the ship portraiti most H. P. Lüdders & trained on the model A. Melbyes.
