Seltene Figur "Stehende" von Paul Scheurich Auf unregelmäßigem Sockel, im Kontrapost stehender, weiblicher Halbakt in keuscher Pose mit zum Boden gewandten Blick. Ihr langes, über Kopf und Schulter fallendes, in Purpur staffiertes Tuch an sich ziehend, um sich zu bedecken. Sparsame, polychrome Malerei in kräftigen Farben. Umlaufend radierte Goldakzente in Form von Blattmotiven. Entw. Paul Scheurich, Urstück vor August 1923, erste Porzellanausführung im Februar 1928. Modell-Nr. A 1206. Schwertermarke. H. 35,5 cm.
Anmutige, stiltypische Darstellung Scheurichs in weicher, nahezu pastoser Modellierung, die kompositorisch an kunsthistorische Sujets der Badenden erinnert. Durch die überlängten Gliedmaßen, den ausgeprägten Kontrapost und der s-förmigen Linienführung gewinnt diese Figur an höchster Ausdrucksstärke. Im Unterschied zur detailreich ausgeformten Schauseite belässt er die Rückenansicht bewusst im "non-finito". Ein 43 cm hohes Bozzetto aus braun getöntem und versiegeltem Gips mit abweichendem Sockel fertigte Paul Scheurich vor 1923 an. Käthe Scheurich verkaufte das Modell im Dezember 1927 an die Meissener Manufaktur, welches erstmals 1928 unter der Modell-Nr. A 1206 ausgeformt wurde.
