A RARE ICON SHOWING 'NOLI ME TANGERE' Greek/Balkan, 17th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The resurrected Christ is standing in a garden landscape at the right. He is wearing chiton and himation with gold striations. Christ gestures with his right arm towards Mary Magdalene, who is kneeling in front of him. Behind her a towering rock can be seen, which in a cave holds Christ's empty grave and shrouds. Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, Gewandfalten in Golddispersion. 28,8 x 25 cm. Am rechten Bildrand erscheint der auferstandene Christus in Chiton und Himation, eine geschlossene Schriftrolle in seiner linken Hand haltend. Seine rechte Hand streckt er Maria Magdalena, die zu seinen Füßen kniet, entgegen. Im Hintergrund des Gartens Gethsemane ist das leere Grab in einer stilisierten Felsenarchitektur zu sehen. Die Gewandfalten Christi in Assistvergoldung. Die Ikonographie nimmt Bezug auf das Zwiegespräch zwischen Christus und Maria Magdalena im Garten Gethsemane wie in Joh. 20,11-17 beschrieben. Vertikaler Riss und unterer Rand rest.
