Seltene Jugendstil-Wandzierplatte mit Pâte-sur-pâte- und Unterglasurmalerei von Meissen
Runde, leicht gemuldete Form mit glattem Rand. Im Spiegel großflächig angelegte, szenische Darstellung von fünf ausgelassen tanzenden Mädchen in sommerlichen, flatternden Kleidern in parkähnlicher Landschaft. Im Hintergrund monumentale Meissener Kratervase mit Figur der Psyche, Frauenkopf und Putto sowie antikisierendem Fries, Alexander den Großen mit seinem Freund Hephaistion beim Besuch der Familie des besiegten Perserkönigs Darius darstellend. Dekor-Entw. wohl Rudolf Hentschel. Feine, polychrome, pastelltonige Unterglasur- und Pâte-sur-pâte-Malerei. Form-Nr. G 177. Schwertermarke. Runder Stuckrahmen mit aufwendig gestaltetem, farbig gefasstem und vergoldetem Kranz aus Herbstfrüchten. Platten-D. 34 cm.
Seltene, charmante, szenische Darstellung, beispielhaft für die Pâte-sur-pâte-Technik auf Meissener Porzellanen.
Nach dem Studium an der Kunstakademie München und Académie Julian Paris trat Rudolf Hentschel (1869 Cölln - 1951 Meißen) 1895 als Maler in die Manufaktur Meissen ein. Er schuf zahlreiche Entwürfe für Landschafts-, Pflanzen- und figürliche Darstellungen sowie Geschirrformen und vollplastische Figuren. Zusammen mit seinem Bruder Konrad Hentschel war er maßgeblich an der Entwicklung von Meissener Jugendstil-Porzellanen beteiligt. Sein Vater Julius Hentschel trieb ab 1880 in entscheidendem Maße die Entwicklung der neuartigen Technik der Pâte-sur-pâte in der Manufaktur an.

A rare Art Nouveau porcelain wall plate with figural scene of dancing girls painted in "Pâte-sur-pâte" with polychrome underglaze painting, designed probably by R. Hentschel. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
