Großer Stirnschutz für ein Schlachtross aus Bronze mit kräftiger grünlicher, teils rötlicher Patina. Mittig leicht gegratet, seitlich je zwei kräftige Zierrippen. An den Rändern alte Lochungen für die Befestigungsriemen. Der Nackenschutz am Ansatz gebrochen, eine Ecke abgebrochen. Auf modernem Ständer montiert. Maße 50 x 29,5 cm, Maße des Nackenschutzes 15 x 21 cm.
Provenienz: Der Überlieferung nach in den 1970er Jahren bei Ausgrabungen in der Yunnan-Provinz gefunden. Sammlung Eliane und Guy de la Boisselière. Large bronze chamfron for a war horse with distinctive greenish, partially reddish patina. The centre slightly ridged, two wide ornamental ribs on each side. Old perforations for the straps at the edges. The neck guard broken at the base, one corner broken off. Mounted on a modern stand. Dimensions 50 x 29.5 cm, dimensions of neck guard 15 x 21 cm.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
