Leicht gekrümmte, zweischneidige Klinge aus feinem Wootz-Damast mit beidseitiger Gratung. Am Klingenansatz beidseitig in Gold tauschierte Schriftkartuschen. Griff aus dunklem Rhinozeroshorn mit Zwinge und Knaufkappe aus fein nielliertem und teilvergoldetem Silber. Silberne Scheide mit Holzkern, beidseitig plastischer, niellierter Dekor auf vergoldetem, fein ziseliertem Grund. Eine Tragespange mit seitlicher Öse. Länge 37,5 cm.

A rare Dagestan kard with nielloed silver mounts, 19th century
Slightly curved, double-edged blade of fine Wootz steel with ambilateral ridge. The forte decorated on both sides with gold damascened calligraphic cartouches. Grip of dark rhino horn with collar and pommel cap of finely nielloed and part-gilt silver. Silver scabbard with wooden core, both sides decorated with a raised, nielloed design on a gilt, finely embossed base. One carrying clip with lateral suspension ring. Length 37.5 cm.
