Rötliche Keramik mit schöner Alterspatina. Runder Sitz mit schauseitig reliefiertem Palmettendekor, an der Sitzfläche umlaufender Zierfries. Seitlich zwei plastische Chimären, ihre ausgebreiteten Flügel die Arm- und Rückenlehne bildend. Sitzfläche mit altem Brandriss, stellenweise kleine witterungsbedingte Abplatzungen und Bestoßungen. Maße 73,5 x 63 x 60 cm.
Seltenes Original eines klassizistischen Sitzmöbels, von dem seit dem späten 19. Jhdt. zahlreiche Kopien gefertigt werden. So z.B. von der Signa Manifattura, die dieses Modell seit 1895 im Angebot hat.
Provenienz: Alte Pariser Privatsammlung. Inklusive drei Bildern, die den Stuhl in einer Inneneinrichtung der 1960er Jahre zeigen.
A rare original neoclassical terracotta-seat, Florence, circa 1800
Reddish ceramic with fine age patina. Round seat with a raised palmette design on the obverse, ornamental frieze around the perimeter of the seat. Flanked on either side by a chimera, their outstretched wings forming the arm and back rest. Seat with old heat crack, partially chipped and bumped due to weather exposure. Dimensions 73.5 x 63 x 60 cm.
Rare original classicist chair, of which many copies were produced since the late 19th century. For example by Signa Manifattura, which has had this model on offer since 1895.
Provenance: Old Parisian private collection. Including three pictures which show the chair in a 1960s interior setting.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
