Lot 736 | Rare walking stick with porcelain knob
Gebogter, tapered stick handle, called a "Bec de corbin". On the wall, gold ornamented, partly. with purple medallion scene-designed consoles, the so-called Chinoiserien, representations festively-dressed Chinese in the tea ceremony, or the preparation of food. Locking handle, hook, tapered with a RAM's head. Polychrome painting with gold decor. Bamboo stick with gold-plated cuff, and a small Eyelet. L. 97, 5 cm.
The so-called Chinoiserien were a popular motif on Floor. A nearly identical copy is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
