Rechteckiger, aufklappbarer Korpus aus Makassar mit oberseitig abgerundeten Ecken und teils durchbrochen gearbeiteten Beschlägen aus Messing, Schloss mit Herstellerbezeichnung "George Betjemann & Sons" und "London". Innenseitig Einsatz mit Fächern für Spielfiguren (Schach, Dame, Domino etc.) sowie Würfel und Spielmarker. Darunter eine im Inneren des Kastens entriegelbare Schublade mit Fächern für Spielkarten (zwei befüllt, nicht vollständig) und verschiedenfarbige und -große Jetons sowie Würfelbecher. Im Deckel herausnehmbares, lederbezogenes und ausklappbares Spielbrett (Schach, Dame, Backgammon etc.). Maße 24,5 x 19 x 19,5 cm.

A rare English games compendium belonging to the Krupp family, London, late 19th century
The rectangular, hinged body from Makassar with rounded corners at the top and brass fittings, some in openwork, the lock with the manufacturer's mark "George Betjemann & Sons" and "London". The interior with compartments for playing pieces (chess, checkers, dominoes etc.) as well as dice and game counters. Below which a drawer that can be released with sections for playing cards (two filled, incomplete) and chips in different colours and sizes, dice shakers. A removable, leather-covered, fold-out playing board inside the lid (for chess, checkers, backgammon etc.). Dimensions 24.5 x 19 x 19.5 cm.
