Hellgrauer Schiefer. Da die Attribute nicht erhalten sind, kann dieser majestätische, sehr fein gearbeitete
Bodhisattva mit Mandorla nicht eindeutig identifiziert werden. Aufgrund seines kunstvollen
Turban kann man davon ausgehen, dass die Skulptur Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara oder
Bodhisattva Siddhartha Gautama, also Prinz Siddhartha vor Erlangung der Buddhaschaft,
darstellt. Die beschädigte linke Schulter seines kräftigen nackten Oberkörpers war mit
einem Gewand (sanghati) im hellenistischen oder provinzialrömischen Stil bedeckt. Die
feinen Falten seines Dhotis fallen rhythmisch auf seine Knöchel, und er trägt Sandalen.
Die schweren Ohrringe und Armbänder (hier ist nur eine Armband erhalten), mehrere
Halsketten und die Gebetskette mit Amulettbehältern sind charakteristische Merkmale von
Bodhisattva-Skulpturen aus Gandhara. Sein spirituelles und sehr subtil gestaltetes
Gesicht, das tiefste Ruhe und Versenkung ausstrahlt, steht in einem schönen Kontrast zu
seinem athletischen Körper. Höhe 61cm, Breite 20cm, Tiefe 9cm. Montiert auf einem Metallsockel.
