auf Untertasse. Sich erweiternder, runder Korpus mit leicht ausschwingendem Rand. Fliederfarbener Fond. Beidseitig der Wandung, in schwarz konturierten Vierpassreserven gerahmte, sowie im vertieften Spiegel farbige Darstellung eines Esels, eines Hundes bzw. einer Katze. Polychrome Malerei im Kakiemonstil in der Art von Adam von Löwenfinck. Die Katze nach Vorlage des 9. Tierfrieses aus der Serie "Neues Thier Büchlein" von Andreas Kohl (1624 - 1657). Goldkonturierung. Press-Nr.; Schwertermarke. H. 4 cm.
A. F. von Löwenfinck, Maler aus der Hoeroldt-Werkstatt, prägte einen individuellen Stil mit phantasievollen, häufig ostasiatisch anmutenden (Fabel-)Tieren wie in dem von Löwenfinck 1735, ein Jahr vor seinem Verlassen der Meissener Manufaktur, fertiggestelltem "Schwarz-Gold-Streifen-Service". Ein aus 31 Teilen bestehendes, motivisch vergleichbares Teeservice stammt aus der Slg. Adolf List in Magdeburg. Diese Tierdarstellungen lassen sich zum Teil auf grafische Vorlagen von Andreas Kohl, Joris Hoefnagel oder Pieter Bodding van Laer zurückführen.
