A RARE BRONZE VESSEL 'HU' - China, Eastern Zhou dynasty - This rare, almost spherical and classically austere-looking vessel rests on a widely flared foot that is vertically set off on the outside by a surrounding rim. The neck is also widely flared and canted in striking symmetry to the foot. The decoration of the body of the vessel consists of three horizontal bands, geometrically patterned in different ways, the central one clearly raised and set off from the other two by a recessed ring each. These two bands show archaic dragon and cloud shapes, while the central, slightly wider band has a double zigzag line with unclassifiable filler elements. - Important Austrian private collection, according to records acquired in the 1980s from an old Viennese private collection Publ. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
