An der Spitze bogenförmig gekrümmte, an den Seiten gegratete Bronzeklinge mit Mittelrippe, zwei unterschiedlich langen Spitzen und 16 kräftigen Ösen auf dem Rücken. Reliefiert gegossene und vernietete Klingenfassung mit hohlem, zylindrischem Bronzegriff. Der schüsselförmige Knauf am oberen Rand umlaufend verziert mit Ösen. Länge 84 cm.
A rare South Indian bronze temple sword, Kerala, 15th - 17th century
Laterally ridged bronze blade with midrib and angled end, the back with two points of different length and 16 robust eyelets. Blade trim riveted and cast in relief with hollow, cylindrical bronze grip. The top of the bowl-shaped pommel decorated with eyelets. Length 84 cm.
