1881-1895. Entwurf Michael Thonet.

Buchenholz, massiv gebogen, Geflecht. 92,5x44x53,5cm. Schutzmarke 2, Frästeller "THONET AUSTRIA", 13 strahliger Stern.

Dieses Modell ist in der Rückengestaltung identisch mit dem Modell, welches die Thonets 1851 auf der Londoner Weltausstellung präsentierten. Bei dem Londoner Modell und auch bei der späteren Nr. 9 (Los 3) finden wir die aufwendigere Sitz- und Beinkonstruktion. Die Rückenlehne hat bei beiden den charakteristischen Doppelschwung. Zur Datierung: Dieses Modell trägt folgende Kennzeichnungen: Schutzmarke 2, Frästeller "THONET AUSTRIA", Stern. Die 2. Schutzmarke wurde am 28.07.1881 bei der Handels- und Gewerbekammer in Olmütz registriert und galt bis 1919. Der Prägestempel "THONET AUSTRIA" auf Frästeller (60 mm) wurde ab 1887 bis 1918, immer in Verbindung mit der 2. Schutzmarke verwendet. Der 13 strahlige Stern ohne Kreis, Durchmesser von 13-18 mm war in Gebrauch von circa 1870 bis 1895. Wir können also sagen, dass dieser Sessel in dem Zeitraum von 1881 bis 1895 hergestellt worden sein muss

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
