SHIAVAX CHAVDA, DANCER I India, 1964 Oil on canvas, framed. 50x38.5 cm (58.5x46 cm with frame). Signed and dated lower right 'S. Chavda 1964'. Shiavax Chavda was born in Navsari, Gujarat. He studied at the Slade School and Academie de la Grande Chamiere, Paris, where he worked alongside Leon Bakst and Picasso in designing the sets for the Diaghelev Ballet. Chavda had a deep assosciation with dance. He used the subject of a dancer in motion to explore the rhythmic aspects of his own compositions.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
