Trinkgefäß ohne Standfläche mit kugeligem Bauch. Auf der Unterseite eine neunblättrige Rosette innerhalb eines Kreises. Darüber rundum Rapport aus vertikal nach oben verlaufenden, plastisch hervortretenden Zungen, der knapp unterhalb des Umbruchs endet. Auf dem Umbruch ein vergoldetes Zierband von ca. 1,5 cm Breite mit Ritzverzierung, oben und unten durch eine schmale horizontale Rippe begrenzt. Im Inneren eine Wellenranke mit Blättern in Wellenbergen und -tälern. In nur einem der Wellenberge abweichend davon ein Vogel. Darüber wiederum ein Rapport aus vertikal verlaufenden Zungen, diesmal mit dem runden Ende nach unten zeigend. Auf der Schulter ein ionisches Kymation, gefolgt vom eingezogenen Hals, der zum Rand hin trichterförmig ausschwingt. Höhe 11,2 cm. Breite 9,5 cm. Abgesehen von diversen kleineren Dellen, in der Regel bereits antiken Ursprungs, ausgezeichnet erhaltenes griechisches Silbergefäß.

A Greek silver vessel with chased and incised decoration, 4th century B.C.
Drinking vessel without base with a spherical belly. On the underside a nine-leaf rosette within a circle. Above it a repeat of vertically upwards running, plastically protruding tongues, which ends just below the rim. On the border a gilded decorative band of approx. 1.5 cm width with incised decoration, bordered above and below by a narrow horizontal rib. Inside a waved tendril with leaves in wave crests and troughs. In only one of the crests, deviating from it, a bird. Above it again a repeat of vertically running tongues, this time with the round end pointing downwards. On the shoulder an Ionic cymation, followed by the retracted neck, which swings out funnel-shaped towards the rim. Height 11.2 cm. Width 9.5 cm. Apart from various smaller dents, generally already of antique origin, an excellently preserved Greek silver vessel.
