Schlanke einschneidige Klinge aus Wootz-Damast(?) mit verstärkter Schneide und breitem, t-förmig abgesetztem Rücken. Zwinge und Griffbänder aus fein nielliertem und vergoldetem Silber. Kräftige Griffschalen aus Walrosselfenbein. Schwer gearbeitete silberne Scheide, schauseitig mit geschnittenem, nielliertem und vergoldetem floralen Dekor. Die Gegenseite mit Dekor in nielliertem Silber, gravierte Signatur "Arbeit des Muhammad". Seitlich kleine Trageöse. Länge 38,5 cm, Gewicht der Scheide 313 g.

A silver-mounted Turkmen kard, 2nd half of the 19th century
Slender, single-edged blade of wootz (?) steel with reinforced edge and wide, T-shaped back. Ferrule and grip straps of finely nielloed and gilt silver. Sturdy walrus ivory grip panels. Solid silver scabbard, the obverse decorated with chiselled, nielloed, and gilt floral ornaments. The reverse embellished with nielloed silver, engraved signature "Muhammad's work". Small fixed suspension ring on the reverse. Length 38.5 cm, weight of scabbard 313 g.
