Typisch geschwungene Rückenklinge mit beidseitig schmaler Kehlung. Beidseitig reich in Silber tauschierter floraler Dekor, beidseitig Schriftkartuschen, datiert "1220" (= 1805). Griffzwinge und Griff aus vergoldetem Silber mit reichem Filigranbesatz. Ein Ohr am Rand leicht beschädigt. Schwere Scheide aus Silberblech über Holzkern. Reich getriebener und ziselierter, floraler Dekor, das Mundblech mit kräftigem Filigrandekor. Länge 81 cm.
A Balkan-Turkish silver-mounted yatagan, dated 1805
Characteristically curved single-edged blade with slender fuller on both sides. Profusely decorated with silver-damascened flowers on both sides, calligraphic cartouches on both sides, dated "1220" (= 1805). Gilt silver ferrule and grip richly decorated with filigree. The edge of one ear slightly damaged. Heavy scabbard of sheet silver over wooden core. Richly embossed floral ornaments, the locket with robust filigree décor. Length 81 cm.
