Typisch geschwungene Rückenklinge mit beidseitiger flacher Kehlung. Fein gravierte und ziselierte silberne Zwinge mit Rankendekor. Vernietete Griffschalen aus hellem Nashornhorn, silbernes Griffband mit floralem Dekor. Hölzerne Scheide mit drahtvernähtem roten Samtbezug. Reich getriebene, teilvergoldete Silbergarnitur, das Mundblech mit Besatz aus tropfenförmigen Korallencabochons (zwei Fehlstellen). Länge 79 cm.

A silver-mounted Algerian yatagan with rhino-horn grips, circa 1800
Typically curved single-edged blade with flat fuller on both sides. Finely engraved and embossed silver collar decorated with scrolling vines. Riveted grip panels of light-coloured rhino horn, silver grip strap with floral décor. Wooden scabbard with wire-sewn red velvet cover. Richly chased, part-gilt silver mounts, the locket set with two tear-shaped coral cabochons (two losses). Length 79 cm.
