Typisch geschwungene Rückenklinge mit beidseitig graviertem Dekor. Quartseitig geschlagene Klingenmarke und Schriftkartusche mit Datierung "1189" (= 1775). Gravierte silberne Zwinge, Griff mit Silberdrahtwicklung und beidseitig je drei Ziernieten (eine verloren). Knauf mit floral getriebenem Dekor. Die mit Silberblech ummantelte Holzscheide mit plastisch getriebenem floralen Dekor. Länge 77 cm.
A silver-mounted Ottoman yatagan, dated 1775
Typically curved single-edged blade with engraved décor on both sides. Blade mark and calligraphic cartouche with the date "1189" (=1775) struck on the reverse. Engraved silver ferrule, silver-wire-bound grip and three ornamental rivets on either side (one missing). Pommel chased with a floral design. The wood scabbard covered in sheet silver and chased in relief with floral ornaments. Length 77 cm.
